(This thought is a companion to a previous thought for meditation: The Truly Superior Way)
Because the Biblical way is always superior over both the intellectual way and emotional way,
we must decidedly, definitely, and diligently make our thoughts and emotions
submit to the precepts and principles of God's Word.
2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations,
and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,
and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness,
and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
The thought of foolishness is sin.
I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts:
and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him;
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
