I. Hungering & Thirsting after the Fellowship of Our Lord.
Psalm 42:1-2 – “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul
thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?”
II. Hungering & Thirsting after the Word of Our Lord.
Psalm 19:7-10 – “The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure,
making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the
LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the
LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine
gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.”
III. Hungering & Thirsting after the House of Our Lord.
Psalm 84:1-4 – “How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts! My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth
for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. Yea, the sparrow hath
found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD
of hosts, my King, and my God. Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee.
Selah.”
