Thought for Meditation
“I may have thought it, but at least I didn’t say it”
is not an excuse for the sinfulness of the unrighteous thought itself.
Certainly, it is good that you did not say it;
for that would just have added sin unto sin.
Yet the sinfulness of the unrighteous thought
still requires repentance before the Lord our God.
2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations,
and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,
and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 7:1
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved,
let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit,
perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
