Disciplining Both Attitudes & Actions

Thought for Meditation

When we discipline our children for wrong behavior,
we must learn not only to discipline the wrong actions of their wrong behavior,
but also to discipline the wrong attitudes that motivated their wrong behavior.

Ephesians 6:4 
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath:
but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Proverbs 23:26 
My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.

Proverbs 2:10-11 
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee.

Proverbs 4:23-27  
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
