Thought for Meditation
Are you one who consistently cares for and is committed to doing the work of the Lord?
Or, are you one who must be constantly convinced and compelled to do the work of the Lord?
Or, are ye one who is contemptuous of and stands contrary to the work of the Lord?
Are you one who consistently cares for and is committed to doing the work of the Lord?
Or, are you one who must be constantly convinced and compelled to do the work of the Lord?
Or, are ye one who is contemptuous of and stands contrary to the work of the Lord?
1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord,
forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Romans 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15
For the love of Christ constraineth us;
because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
and that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves,
but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
Colossians 3:1-3
If ye then be risen with Christ,
seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Hebrews 10:19-27
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us,
through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
and having an high priest over the house of God;
let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith,
having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering;
(for he is faithful that promised;)
and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation,
which shall devour the adversaries.
