Thought for Meditation
(This meditation is an extension and expansion of a previous meditation: If You Are Too Busy for the Lord)
If you are too busy to be faithful
in God's Word, in fervent prayer, in church ministry, and in gospel witness,
then something, not of your God-given responsibility,
but of your own personal interest,
must be discarded from your heart's priority and from your daily living.

Haggai 1:2-7
Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying,
This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD’S house should be built.
Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough;
ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm;
and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
Colossians 3:1-4
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above,
where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Romans 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service.
