Outlines in Psalms
This outline is a companion to a previous outline: It Is A Good Thing - Psalm 92:1-15
Psalm 92:1 reads, “A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High.”
I. We ought to praise our Lord for His daily loving kindnesses.
Psalm 92:2a – “To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning.”
II. We ought to praise our Lord for His everlasting faithfulness.
Psalm 92:2 – “To shew forth . . . thy faithfulness every night.”
III. We ought to praise our Lord for the greatness of His works.
Psalm 92:5a – “O LORD, how great are thy works!”
IV. We ought to praise our Lord for the wisdom of His thoughts.
Psalm 92:5b – “And thy thoughts are very deep.”
V. We ought to praise our Lord for His eternal sovereignty.
Psalm 92:8 – “But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.”
VI. We ought to praise our Lord for His perfect righteousness.
Psalm 92:15 – “To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.”
VII. We ought to praise our Lord for being the Rock unto His servants.
Psalm 92:15b – “He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.”
Psalm 92:10 – “But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.”
Psalm 92:12-14 – “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring
forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing.”
