11. For hope & comfort in heart.
Romans 15:4 – “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”
Psalm 119:81 – “My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word.”
Psalm 119:49-52 – “Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law. I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself.”
12. For divine peace in heart.
Psalm 119:165 – “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.”
13. For divine joy in heart.
Psalm 119:54 – “Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.”
Psalm 119:111 – “Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.”
Jeremiah 15:16 – “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.”
Psalm 19:8 – “The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.”
14. For spiritual wisdom in life.
Psalm 37:30-31 – “The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.”
Psalm 119:130 – “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.”
Psalm 119:97-100 – “O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.”
Psalm 19:7-8 – “The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.”
15. For spiritual guidance in life.
Psalm 119:105 – “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
Proverbs 6:22-23 – “When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life.”
16. For godly parenting of our children.
Deuteronomy 6:4-7 – “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: and thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.”
